| Beaufort is well known as a supplier of seafood goods, so it's no surprise that the Beaufort area has got a lot of great seafood establishments, each with their own unique preparation of the perfect sea food dish using fresh local catches, of course. What is a surprise is Beaufort also has a lot of other types of restaurants, from Japanese to steak houses. In Beaufort County you can find just about any food your taste buds are in search of. Beaufort has a great many restaurants on the water, providing the ultimate in dinning experience, the view and the food. Most seafood dishes are reasonable in price. |
| Dockside, Steamer, Ollie's and Whitehall are all great places for seafood and are highly recommended. These are not cheap, but a great meal at a reasonable price. Reservations are highly recommended, as the wait can be very long. It seems longer when you are hungry and have to stand outside "smelling" that fantastic aroma. What a torture! But... it is worth it in the end. |

Fast food... no problem. Beaufort has a good deal of Pizza, Taco and Hamburger places, and a few "special" places like the famous "Shrimp Shack". |
